Hidden Benefits of Basil Seeds

Basil Seeds hydrated.jpg

Basil seeds have gained quite a lot of attention these days; I have read tons of blogs on these seeds and their incredible health benefits. There are several blogs on this topic already on the internet but what makes this post worth reading is the undocumented health and beauty benefits that Basil Seeds are bestowed with.

You must have read about the similarity between Basil and Chia Seeds and the nutrition facts about them. Usually, Chia seeds take nearly an hour to swell into a plump translucent form while Basil seeds attain the same within 10 to 15 minutes. Both these seeds can replace each other without any change in the nutrition factors at all. Now, the point of writing this post is to serve my audience with ‘Whats so new with these seeds?’. I have been trying some facial masks and hair masks with different ingredients at home, but Basil seeds have impressed me with something really out of the box.

Basically I was quite inspired by this post on Sabja Seeds benefits by Miss Farheen, so I decided to give it a shot too. Although, most of the masks discussed by her have already been tried by me.

Hair Masks With Basil Seeds

Basil & Yogurt Combo:
Crush one to two teaspoon of basil seeds and add a whole egg with one teaspoon of Yogurt and a few drops of honey. Blend all the ingredients to make a thick paste. Apply this thick paste on hair strands and let it rest for at least an hour. Wash it off with a good shampoo of your choice. This hair mask is an immaculate solution to hair fall problem and it also enhances the hair strength and length too.

Basil & Nutmeg-Mustard Combo:

Create a paste and apply it on your hair strands especially the scalp. This mask can significantly help you in getting rid of dandruff, and it also ensures the growth of hair.
